We focus on clean, practical information: menus, hours, directions, ordering links, catering details, and local notes. We do not allow public review drama on restaurant pages.

Required so the restaurant appears in the correct parish directory and eligible EatBayou rankings.

Independent Local and Local Restaurant Group count as locally owned. Franchise locations count as Franchise even when the franchisee lives locally.

Cuisine

Select the main cuisine styles that describe the restaurant. Choose all that apply. This is the restaurant style, not every item on the menu.

What Should Customers Try First?

If someone walks into your restaurant for the first time, what dishes would you recommend? Add your signature dishes and customer favorites. These help customers discover what makes your restaurant special.

Examples: Boudin Pizza, Seafood Platter, Roast Beef Debris Po-boy, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, BBQ Sampler.

What Foods Do You Serve?

Add the foods customers can order. Use broad food names instead of every menu variation. The more foods you list, the easier customers can discover your restaurant.

Examples: Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Po-boys, Pizza, Seafood, Gumbo, Étouffée, Burritos, Tacos, Wings, Salads.

You do not need to list every menu variation. Think food types rather than individual menu items.

Instead of entering Shrimp Po-boy, Roast Beef Po-boy, and Oyster Po-boy separately, you can simply enter Po-boys.

Instead of entering Bacon Cheeseburger, Mushroom Swiss Burger, and Double Cheeseburger separately, you can simply enter Hamburgers / Cheeseburgers.

Start typing and choose from suggestions when possible. New foods are allowed and will be reviewed by EatBayou before publication.

Online Ordering Options

EatBayou is independent and is not affiliated with any online ordering or delivery service. We do not control third-party platforms, drivers, fees, menus, or delivery instructions.

List the ordering options your restaurant wants customers to use, in your preferred order. The first completed option may be marked “Preferred by Restaurant” on EatBayou. Do not enter instructions for DoorDash, Uber Eats, or drivers here; those must be handled directly with the ordering platform.

Only completed rows will appear on EatBayou; leave unused rows blank.

Hours

Choose the normal weekly hours. Closed holidays can be checked below and will override normal hours on those dates after review.

Shortcut buttons are optional. You can still edit any day manually after copying.

If the restaurant closes between lunch and dinner, use the second open/close period. Example: 11:00 AM–2:00 PM and 5:00 PM–9:00 PM.

Usually Closed Holidays

Check any holidays when the restaurant is usually closed. EatBayou controls the yearly holiday calendar on the backend, so restaurants do not have to write dates every year.

Restaurant Logo

Optional. Upload your restaurant’s logo only if you own it or have permission to provide it for use on EatBayou.


JPG, PNG, or WEBP only. Maximum 1 MB and 800 × 800 pixels. Square or horizontal logos work best. Do not upload food photos, storefront photos, menu screenshots, or logos for businesses you do not represent.

Features

Choose any features that apply. These help visitors understand what makes the restaurant useful, convenient, or different.

Feature checkboxes will appear here after features are added in the admin area.


Example: live pianist on Friday nights, homemade pies, lunch buffet, patio seating, local favorite.

Catering / Large Orders

If the restaurant offers catering, party trays, or large orders, tell us how much notice is usually needed.



Example: Party trays require 24 hours. Large events require one week. Holiday catering needs extra notice.

EatBayou Photos

Want EatBayou to photograph your food or storefront?

EatBayou may take our own photos for restaurant listings, articles, and social media. We do not charge restaurants for these photos, but EatBayou retains ownership and control of the images.

Restaurants may share, download, or link to EatBayou photos for their own promotional use as long as the EatBayou card, hashtag, or website shown in the photo remains visible and is not cropped out, covered, edited, obscured, or removed.


Example: We would like EatBayou to photograph our lunch plates, storefront sign, gumbo, seafood platter, or house specials.

Report a Closure or Status Change

Use this if the restaurant is closed for a holiday, closed for remodeling, temporarily closed, moved, or permanently closed. If the restaurant is open and you are only submitting a new listing, leave this as “No closure or status report.”


Choose the best status if this is a closure or change report.


Example: Closed for remodeling until August, closed this week for a holiday, moved to a new address, or permanently closed as of last month.

EatBayou uses submitted information only to review, publish, and maintain restaurant listings. We do not sell restaurant contact information, submission details, or submitter information.

We may contact you only about your listing, corrections, verification, updates, or related EatBayou listing matters.

Submissions are reviewed before anything is published. Basic listings are free, but sending a submission does not guarantee publication or a feature.
